Join us in launching the season with this festive celebration of mastery in music and art. Ippolitov-Ivanov's picturesque sketches and Prokofieve's early orchestral impression of Autumn offer some of Russia's greatest tone-painting. As his career continues to skyrocket, Antonio returns by popular demand with his passionate reading of Tchaikovsky's gigantic Piano Concerto No. 1. In conclusion we offer Mussorgsky's tour-de-force gallery tour, conceived for the piano and brilliantly orchestrated by Maurice Ravel.
