Red, White & Blue!

Here’s a patriotic splash! First, two contemporary American works which are already classics and audience favorites; Higdon’s Blue Cathedral has had more performances following its premiere than any other American piece in history. Corigliano’s superb, dramatic score from the movie, The Red Violin, has taken the concert world by storm. Griffes’ White Peacock is a gorgeous, romantic work in the style of the great German romantics who were his teachers. Our celebration concludes with your favorite and ours: West Side Story!
