Mozart brings opera back to the stage in Peoria. With wisdom beyond his age, he teaches us lessons about life, society, and ourselves ‐ always with a touch of humor. He composed and performed his third violin concerto at age 19. The amazing Anna Lee will perform it at 15. Her poise and charm made her my first choice for this performance. Finally, with his beautiful Coronation Mass, we announce a new era of vocal programming and collaboration in Peoria.

ANNA LEE, VIOLIN SOLOIST

The PSO takes delight in presenting musical prodigies to our audience, and this season we welcome Anna Lee. By the age of six she was performing the difficult Paganini Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and has since performed around the world and won numerous competitions, including NPR’s prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. She studies at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division and performs in the Juilliard Pre-College Chamber Orchestra.
