My Fellow Music Lovers:

I am honored to be joining your community as the new Music Director of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. With well-over one hundred years of history behind it and a bright future ahead, I am excited to be part of the new era of the PSO!

This season, our programs and new initiatives are designed to help you get in touch with your inner artist. I am a firm believer that music is a participatory art and that audiences are a full partner in its creation. Music becomes its truest, and art is born, at that wonderful moment when you respond to the sounds we create. It is your mind and your heart that gives meaning to our expression and therefore, I want everyone of you to embark on a journey of artistic discovery with us this season.

This is journey of time and space, and it will take us from familiar shores to far off lands and back. On the way, you will meet some wonderful artists and composers as your guides. I am sure you will enjoy finding a part of yourself in the most surprising and delightful music we have waiting for you this season.

Thank you for inviting me here. Please come up and say hello at intermissions, after concerts, at pre-concert events, and even if we happen to see each other at a local establishment. I am looking forward to meeting you.
