Michael Ericson

Michael Ericson has served as Principal Oboist in the Peoria Symphony Orchestra since 1993 and is a Professor of Music at Western Illinois University. Mr Ericson holds B.M. and B.M.E. degrees from the University of Northern Colorado, and an M.M. in Oboe Performance from Indiana University. Mr. Ericson has studied oboe with Jerry Sirucek, Mark Lifschey, and Kenneth Evans. He is oboist for the Camerata Woodwind Quintet and is a member of the International Double Reed Society, the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors and the National Music Educators Conference.
